１属１種。日本全国に広く分布する。寄主植物はイネ科でススキ、ヨシ、サトウキビなどに見られる。本州では低地～山地のススキやヨシのビーティングで普通に採集できる。海外では熱帯や亜熱帯に広く分布し、東南アジアではサトウキビの害虫とされている(Timmanna et al., 2021)。

This genus includes this species only. This species widely distributed in Japan and breeds on Poaceae such as Miscanthus sinensis, Phragmites communis and Saccharum officinarum. It is commonly collected from Miscanthus sinensis and Phragmites communis by beating at lowlands to mountainous area in Honshu, Japan. This species is widely distributed in the tropical and subtropical countriers and causes seriously damage to Saccharum officinarum in South and Southeast Asia (Timmanna et al., 2021).
